1) Research Framework
This research is conducted as part of a Master 2 thesis in Conception, Formation, Technologies et Numérique (CFTN) at the INSPÉ of the University of Strasbourg. It is led by Alireza Shakeraneh, under the supervision of Professor Najoua Mohib, Professor of Educational and Training Sciences and member of the Interuniversity Laboratory for Educational and Communication Sciences (LISEC, UR 2310). This work forms part of a broader reflection on the integration of generative artificial intelligence (AI) in the field of instructional design.
2) Objective of the Study
The objective of this study is to analyze the use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) in the professional practice of instructional designers, as well as the perceived effects of such use. More specifically, the research aims to examine the impact of generative AI on task complexity, the forms of use developed, and the associated temporal reconfigurations.
3) Study Procedure
The study is based on an online questionnaire survey distributed to instructional design professionals (instructional designers, learning engineers, educational designers).
The questionnaire is administered via LimeSurvey. Data are collected through a single administration of the questionnaire for statistical analysis as part of the thesis.
4) Voluntary Participation and Right to Withdraw
Participation is entirely voluntary. Participants may withdraw from the study at any time, without having to provide any justification.
5) Privacy and Data Management
The responses collected through this questionnaire will be processed in accordance with current data protection regulations. No data allowing the direct identification of participants will be collected. The results of the study will be presented in an anonymized and aggregated form. Access to the data is restricted to the student researcher responsible for the study and the thesis supervisor.
6) Protection of Personal Data
The information is collected exclusively for research purposes. The data controller is the University of Strasbourg. The processing is based on the performance of a task carried out in the public interest (Article 6(1)(e) of the GDPR).
